So an idea I have been pondering for a while is this... (I'm a junior in high school btw.) I go to my local community college and get my ADN then work at a local hospital over the summer. Then the next semester apply for a RN-BSN program. Go to school for my BSN while working, saving money, and gaining experience. I'm not 100% sure if I want to be a nurse- so would it be better to get my ADN so I know if its something I would like to continue? I want to do this because I want to go to a university in my town that is very inexpensive but only offers a RN-BSN option. I eventually want to get my DNP so I can be a NP (if I want to continue with nursing) (Oh and I don't want to be a CNA or a LPN). Are there any flaws to this? Any advice? Is this good in terms of cost?

I want to be a RN.I see myself living in Boston, California or New York city (I know the expenses to living in these locations) For a car I dont need anything super nice! Just a regular sedan- not old but it doesn't necessarily have to be new either. I want to live in a nice apartment or house (only 3 bedrooms)But I would like to have my iPhone still! Also vacations- they wouldn't be every year but every once in a while to somewhere nice with in the country.

So should I get my associates then get my BSN or should I go straight for my BSN? Are there any pros and cons to each? What did you do to become and RN?

Well the first few posts were just rude.. And if i can't have a stud in then I'll just take it out then put it back in when I'm not working..

I want a rose tattoo on my shoulder blade. (it's in honor of my family) and since it will always will be covered by scrubs will it be a problem? Also, I want to get my nose pierced right when I get to college so I'll have two years for it to heal before nursing school. Then when I get a job does the piercing have to be out? Or can I have a teeny tiny stud in? I know it's not professional to have it in but will they care if it's super small? (I want a ring in when I'm not at work.) Any information will help!
