Hello, I have a dilemma that is a bit complicated, however any advice would be much appreciated. Basically, my significant other will be attending UVA for law school this fall and will be moving from Los Angeles to Charlottesville. I want to move with him to Charlottesville as well, however the only nursing program in the area is the Clinical Nurse Leader program at UVA. I am sure this program is highly competitive and I am wondering if it is worth taking the risk to move. I have a degree in Sociology, with average grades and would need to take the prerequisite courses at a community college. I would also start working in a hospital or other health care facility in order to gain more experience before applying. I am worried that if I move and do not get into the program I will be stuck with no other options. Can someone shed light on the acceptance rate to the program? I am visiting next week and will hopefully speak with someone at the school so that should answer some questions also. I am hoping that I will get into the program and everything will fall into place, however I do not know much about the competitiveness of the application process. Obviously this is a choice I need to make on my own, but I was hoping for some thoughts and advice! Thank you ahead of time.
