  1. thank you, well could someone close this thread?
  2. Hello to everyone, I am concerned about a fall event and wanted a little insight from healthcare workers who have dealt with patient falls. A patient fell(fracture) a few months ago(roughly 6-9Months ago) in a hospital, and now has decided to sue the hospital. The patient called to get to the bathroom and was assisted by a Nurse aid; the aid was asked to step out for privacy reasons, but before leaving the nurse aid made sure the call light was in reach and stepped out to wait on the patient. the nurse aid had taken care of the patient days before and knew how to respond to the patients needs, there is no hospital policy that states the nurse aid should have stayed beside the patient until they were ready to get back in bed. what are the possible actions that could be taken?
