Thanks Amymit & thanks Hemphia. Hemphia, I go to sanjac too, did you get your CPR somewhere around that area and may I ask how long it took and how much did it cost.

Anyone has an idea of whether we are required to have a BLS adult CPR certification only or the pediatric one too. Also, whether they would accept a certification from an online course (e.g. cprtoday.com).

Future Nurse- I am sorry, I misread your post and thought that your classmate was talking about her friend who got an interview and that is why I said that your classmate might have misheard her friend. I am almost a 100% sure that they are not performing any interviews coz I asked the school about interviews particularly before leaving the country on vacation and they said no. I will not be returning back until May so they better not call me for an interview coz that would really be hard for me to attend.

Lol I know.... they take too long. Let's hope we hear something soon.

Hemphia, Don't worry about the initiated status for your hesi scores, they just take sometimes a while before removing it from the to do list. The main thing is to verify with them that they do have your scores. Since they already told that they do, so don't worry, it will be removed soon. Hope this answered your question.

Nici0513, many congratulations on the hesi, great job. Hemphia I am really happy for you that your background check came out clean. I wish everyone a happy holiday.... I hope that next year before the holidays we will be at UTHSC laughing at those waiting days. :cheers:

ladydeeb4213, then you should not worry about the TSI for UT but you can always send them an email to be sure about that. Meghana09, I do not know what to study for critical thinking but for A&P I would not rely on the study guide...... I would actually go over the A&P notes from school. Gillty, wow..... a full time job and taking care of two young children must be hard. You have done great in school and your gpa is very good.... I salute you...... Try not to be very anxious about the test, just prepare for it well and have a good night sleep before taking it. Best of luck to everyone and hopefully all of us r gonna get in.......

ladydeeb4213, Do you know the reason why you were TSI exempt, coz I know if you have a bachelors degree usually you are TSI exempt; but most probably if you were TSI exempt at one institution in Texas, you will be TSI exempt at others too......

Don't worry about the TSI, Hemphia you should not worry about it coz Taas will satisfy that and Warning-Sign you too don't have to worry. This a Texas regulated thing for students who want to attend college. But all of us should not worry about it at all..... It is just a formality. I will get you guys more information soon, coz I already send them an email...... will be receiving a response soon.

I think this refers to the TSI test that we took before taking any college level classes. The test is usually either Compass or Thea. Basically these tests check if you are college ready. The test usually includes Math, Reading and Writing. This information should be on your transcripts though.

Thanks Warning-Sign, don't be jealous-you have crazy high scores too. I hope we all get in with no problems....... I took chemistry because I was thinking of applying to other schools too, but I have decided now to stick to UT Health Science. I have all my vaccinations but have not done anything else. I still have to do my application, background check and all the other good stuff. But don't you guys think that we should do the background check after admission. Hemphia, I hope you would not have any problem with the background check whatsoever. I wish you and everyone best of luck on everything. I just woke up and came online! funny though I had a weird nightmare about getting arrested for DUI and being fingerprinted in the station.... and all that I was thinking..... Oh my God what did I do, what about nursing school.... and the cop told me: "that should be the least of your concerns; you are being charged with manslaughter coz you hit another car and the man is dead".... Great Hemphia, You have great scores too- trust me I have been following the forums for the last two terms and seen who got admission and with what scores. You have good scores..... you have a good gpa, if you want to improve your hesi that is great but try to study well for it. I wish you and everyone else the best of luck.

Hi everyone who is applying for Fall2012, I planned to apply for Spring 2012 but realized that I have to go back home (out of the states) for a few months so changed my plans for applying for the fall. I was following the Spring 2012 forum and realized something nice over there; they stated a list with everyone on the forum listing there stats (Overall Gpa, pre-req Gpa, Science Gpa, and the Hesi Scores) and I thought that was cool. Why don't we start that too over here- I am sure it would be helpful for many who will join the forum later. I am going to start the list with my stats and if you guys think it is a good idea just copy, paste and add your stats to it. I think it is going to be something cool.
