  1. Hey! I've submitted my application as well but have a question. I submitted two transcripts, I uploaded one under the transcript link and the other under additional supporting documents. After reviewing my submitted application it has a list of documents and the one I submitted under additional supporting documents is not being shown. Is anyone else experiencing that or know why that is?
  2. Hey sharzaejones, I apologize for the delay, but thanks so much for the advice!
  3. I agree, I think once I actually move to Augusta and become more comfortable with the area, I'll have a better idea of off-campus living and may consider it for another semester. I've tried looking at the map to get a feel for the on-campus housing and see which one would be most convenient but there's only so much I can figure out looking at a map lol.
  4. Have any of you started looking into housing? I'm leaning towards living on campus since I've never been to Augusta and I hear you need to be really careful when finding a place off campus since it can be a little unsafe. Have any of you heard of some nice apartments off campus or anything about the dorms, like which ones are nicer, etc?
  5. Congratulations beccah! Where did you complete your prereqs?
  6. Hi Kayla! Congratulations on your acceptance! It's so great to hear how accommodating the staff were. They have been so kind and respectful through this whole process for me as well and that has definitely been a selling point for me. I am currently finishing up my prereqs at GPC and am not considering any other schools. I've heard such great things about GHSU, especially their clinical program, so I have turned in my deposit! I've never been to Augusta so I am a bit nervous about that, but I'm planning on going there sometime in the next few weeks to check it out and hopefully meet with a counselor. I also need to figure out housing and whether or not I want to live on or off campus. I'm glad they're holding an open house in April, I think it will be a great way to meet others and see the school. Thank for the info! Are you still waiting to hear back from other schools or are you set on GHSU?
  7. Marie99: ugh I know the feeling, hopefully the wait will be over soon! I initially applied to the Athens campus as well but was accepted to the main campus instead. Sosola: I've been accepted to the BSN program.
  8. That's great! I considered the CNL program for a while but after speaking to a few people I decided it wasn't for me. Mainly because it is an accelerated program, so I was afraid that the curriculum would become to overwhelming for me...I still wonder if I made the right decision. I wish you the best of luck though and hope it works out for you! *fingers crossed*

  10. Thank you VickyRN! Marie99, I will be a part of the BSN program!
  11. Hello! This past Saturday I received my acceptance letter to Georgia Health Sciences University (Augusta Campus) woohoo! Although I am filled with excitement, I have so many questions and concerns which is why I decided to create this thread. I was hoping I could get some insight from alumni and current students about the nursing program (how are you liking it?), living (where is the best place to live?), and Augusta in general (how is it? how are the people?). Also, I'm hoping to meet and speak to other students who have been accepted into the program as well! Congratulations to everyone on your acceptances into nursing school and I hope I can get some advice! Thank you!
  12. Hey lyneath1! I received that call as well a couple weeks ago and I just got a letter in the mail saying I have been accepted!
  13. sharzaejones- Could you please tell me more about the CNL program...how does a CNL certification set you aside and what sorts of jobs can you get? Also, how is the curriculum? I hear it is very fast paced, but are you able to retain the information thoroughly and believe it is beneficial?
