  1. thank you so much cutiep7! i went to the interview yesterday it sounds like a good program and they offer it at night and on the weekends too. ill wait until my daughter gets here before i make any decisions though. Thank you for the the information i would have never known about this school, and its perfect for my situation.
  2. thank you, i just looked into that.
  3. thank you so much cutiep7. I called and set up an interview, can you tell me a little more info about it before i go. Do you go during the day or at night? is it for sure only 3 days a week? how long is the entire program? do you know what time the night classes start? how is the overall program in ur opinion? how much does it cost and do they offer finacial aid? do they accept the G.I. Bill?
  4. I am going to be giving birth to my daughter in May. I want to get us our own apartment which means ill have to continue working full time but i dont want to wait for nursing school any longer. Twin Rivers had a part time lvn program that was 23 months long and it was only a few nights a week which would have been perfect but they got rid of the program and cancelled the program they were suppose to start in August! Does anybody know of any other part time lvn programs in or near sacramento that are only a few nights a week??? Sutter one stop has an lvn program all the way in yuba city that is part time but its monday through friday from 5-9pm 18 months long and doesnt start till july 2014. working monday through friday from 7-3pm and then traveling an hour away to go to school monday through friday from 5-9pm with a new baby is not going to work! does anyone have any ideas?! please im desperate! I cant quit my job to go to school because i wont be able to get unemployment either.

  6. do they offer financial aid, pell grants, student loans or did you have to pay the full 37k on your own?
  7. unfortunately its not allowing me to message anyone on here
  8. I didnt know this, thank you so much for the info justbeachynurse.
  9. thanks for your reply vintagemother. Yea thats my current irritation with CAJ, they're very unstructured but they are cheaper and easier to get into than many of the other trade school lvn programs. Last time i checked twin rivers no longer had a program and i think kaplan and carrington were 30,000 to 40'000 where caj is opnly 20,000. which lvn program did you choose???
  10. thank you for your reply justbeachynurse. Yes indiana state is what i was talking about. There are 2 lvns at my job who said they are working on getting their rn through the online indiana state lvn to rn program, i dont know much about it but they said it was through the college network.
  11. Im trying to find out some info on curam college. I know they are accredited to where i can get my lvn and work as an lvn but i want to use the college network afterwards to do my lvn to bsn bridge program. does anybody know if they accredited to where my credits from them would transfer so i can get my rn??? also does anyone happen to know the next nursing program date for charles a. jones i know they are supposed to have one this summer of 2013 but do we actually have a month, and a date for their next A&P course? id greatly appreciate ANY info. please and thank you!
  12. Thank you so much for your response vintagemother, ill have to research that yuba city lvn program. And yes im really hoping to get some good responses soon!
  13. can anybody give me any info on Charles A. Jones LVN Program AND Twin Rivers LVN program in sacramento? I plan on looking into both when i come back from the Air For Reserve next year. Twin Rivers I heard is cheaper and has a higher pass rate than Charles A. Jones but its two years long and i dont know if i want to take a 2 year long LVN program. Id really like the following info on BOTH schools: 1. How hard was it to pass the actual program as well as the NCLEX after attending either school? 2. How hard was it for you to find a job after graduating and did going to either one of these schools limit your chances at getting an LVN job? 3. Does Twin Rivers have a LVN program that is full time as well as part time? 4. Were you able to work part time while attending Charles A. Jones or did you have to stop working? 5. Did you have to pay (for either school) all the money up front or were you able to do a payment plan? please please please give me as much info about either schools as you can! id greatly appreciate anything!
  14. can anybody give me some info about charles a. jones lvn program? were you ale to work part time while you went there? is it hard to pass, and how hard was it to pass the NCLEX for you after going to this school? how quickly were you able to find an lvn job after graduating and did going to this school affect you getting a job?
