I am frustrated with the admission process for nursing school. I orginally went to Chat Tech for my core classes because it was cheaper and closer to home. I looked into their nursing program but since it is so new they are still working out a lot of bugs and not only does it seem chaotic but an advisor told me that they were still on "probation" for nursing (they have to be able to produce so many graduates who pass the boards before they lose their probation status). That made me nervous so I transfered to North Georgia College to take additional core classes since the pre-reqs are completely different depending on the school you attend. I have almost all my general core and major core classes done (only exception is Microbio and possible Calc. for NGCU which I could take spring semester). My GPA is around a 3.4 and my TEAS score was 77. My downfall in TEAS was the life science catagory but all the sections were high 80's. I plan on applying to several schools to increase my chances of getting into a program but I'm incrediably nervous about which school has the better chance for gaining admission. All of the schools in my area have slightly different pre-reqs and I want to take the one that will pertain to my program. I'm getting ready to register for Spring classes and I'm not sure what to take. I'm looking at Dalton, NGCU, and possible Georgia Highlands or any other school in these areas. Can anyone offer advice about which school is the easiest to get into and what your admission scores were like?
