  1. Thanks AKRN68, I'd love to know more about travel nursing in AK, especially around Anchorage where the weather looks amazing. I'm looking to go in January but am having trouble locating pediatric positions. I'd love to sublet while I'm there but since I don't have any connections it might be hard to find one. I'd love any suggestions and info about housing, subletting, nursing in AK. Thanks!
  2. Thanks. It looks like those are all real estate agencies however. I'm looking more into renting or subletting since I'll probably only be up there for 3 months at a time for travel nursing. I would absolutely love to sublet from someone because I keep things clean but I love the personal atmosphere. Thanks for the info thought, I appreciate it.
  3. What did you end up figuring out? I've been looking into housing in the area as well for a possible travel nursing position in anchorage in January. You're probably in the middle of or ending your assignment. Unless, maybe you decided to extend. But I'd love to hear how things are going for you. And if your housing worked out well I could use the same place and use you as a referral if they offer a bonus or anything. Hope to see your post soon :)
  4. Has anyone heard of the travel nursing agency "Staffing Medical USA"? I just finished talking with a recruiter and most of the general details seem average (insurance, 401K, travel reimbursement) but he said even though they are based out of Arizona they staff for many of the hospitals in Alaska from Anchorage to the remote Kodiak Island. Their website looks pretty credible and it mentioned they were JCAHO certified which is promising. However, I tried google searching it and looking for it on travel nurse central and on the site as well. I couldn't find anything about it, no reviews, rating, suggestion, anything. It didn't sound too good to be true on the phone because like I said earlier many of the basic details seemed similar to other companies. However before I go ahead with any company I like to check reviews and see their credibility. Please throw out any ideas, suggestions, comments, or anything. I'd love to hear them!
