  1. a question about artery inefficiency

    I just started nursing a few weeks ago. And I am trying really hard to get used to the overwhelming information. The book says arterial insufficiency may cause skin appear thin, shiny and taut.But since arterial insufficiency cause a decrease in blood flow to peripheral blood vessels, how can the skin look shiny and taut? I thought about it but really couldn't figure out why. Anybody could help me out on that? Thanks!!!!:):):)
