  1. I do actually have more info. I was admitted to UCCS and have now completed four semesters there. I was admitted as pre-nursing and completed a semester before taking the HESI. The HESI was was very straight-forward. Get the study book and study it. I know a lot of people that didn't study and didnt get a high enough score the first try. There is also a lot of great flashcards available on quizlet.com, just type in HESI A2. In regards to what they look for: Admission is based on a 5-fold criteria. 1 part for GPA (that's it, so a less than stellar GPA is okay, you do have to have a 3.0 though). The other 4 parts are based on your core HESI scores. So do good on that test! I had a 3.3 GPA but scored a 96 overall on the HESI. I'm currently a Junior and I love the program. Great instructors (well mostly haha), good hospitals, and a fantastic simulation lab. Please let me know any other questions you might have.
  2. Hello All, I just applied to UCCS for Spring 2012. I am curious if anyone actually admitted to the program can tell me what the avg. GPA is for being accpeted. I would be an out-of-state transfer student. I currently have a 3.3 and am wondering what my chances are. Any tips or advice? Also, anyone know what the entrance exam consists of? Is it similar to the TEAS exam? Do you know what the pass rate is? Any information about this program is greatly appreciated.
