  1. I've started working as a case manager almost a year ago, now I work from home and see my members once a quarter unless there's a change in condition. I'm having a hard time with care planning since I'm not directly involved. All my members are in nursing facilities. I don't want to have a goal of say "blood sugars in range with finger stick accuchecks", because I'm not there to know except once a quarter. Looking for suggestions or resources that I can make good acheiveable goals for my members that are realistic and not outside of my control. Thanks!
  2. I don't know that my opinion is glowing but here you go. I have only worked for UHC 4 1/2 months, I have a friend that does telephonic service coordination that suggusted the company to me, she loves it. I am a service coordinator for nursing facility members in Texas. It's like any job. There's good and not so good, do the good things about it out way the not so good? In my case they do. I work from home, I go out 2 times a week to visit members. Some people really don't like being isolated at home that long so it's something to consider. There are deadlines to meet and the company is huge, it is hard at times getting the information I need if I am having to rely on someone else. Or if I need to find the person that does certain things can be difficult. Benefits are ok, nothing great to win you over. So far I am really enjoying it! Hope that helps.
  3. I'm in Texas, and they don't make the injector any more which is why I can't find it. Our hospital offers the carpujects and the old one I had was easier to use. From all my searching it appears that sometimes people have some spares they will be willing to sell or you can sometimes catch them on ebay, but I've been checking ebay and haven't seen one yet. Thanks for your efforts though.
  4. I recently lost a blue tubex injector, personally I think someone took it but either way I lost it. I am looking for one to purchase. I have searched to web with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
