  1. Even though you may want to start in a hospital right away, sometimes the best place to get the experience is a nursing home. Try applying at nursing homes! I was having that same problem with the hospitals wanting someone with experience but like you said, how the heck do you get experience if you can't even get a first job as a CNA. Ideally, if you have a hospital that has a nursing home/rehab unit connected to it try applying there then you at least have your foot in the door!
  2. Is nursing something you really, truly want?! Have you ever worked as CNA? I think that helps tell you if you will love nursing because you get a better picture of what it will be like. But if you really want nursing, then DO NOT give up :-) Nursing is tough, but if you want it, go for it! Your A&P most likely will cover basic things from chemistry and a few from biology. One majorly important thing, you say you have to get all A's in your next classes, work towards that but don't freak out about it because you just stress yourself out and if you don't get an A it won't be any fun :-( If you don't understand the material go to the professor or ask other students for help! Figure out how you study and learn material best and study study study! So decide if you really love nursing enough to deal with all the fun stuff...because it will be tough. If you really love nursing, go for it! Study your butt off and do the best you can! Just remember that no matter how long it takes you, in the end it will be worth it!
