Yes, I have been looking through one of the recommended texts from the school (for our interviews). But I've been seeing that we should just enjoy the time we have before school starts, so I'm going with that! :)

Is everybody getting excited for school? I'm a little nervous thinking I should be frantically studying until classes start in July. Anyone have any tips on what we should be doing to "prepare"?

Yes a relief for sure! I got 105 out of 150 correct....I was shocked to say the least! 3 days :)

Passed CCRN this AM, so that's one positive! Didn't feel very good about it going in there considering I didnt study much because of my interview last week. But nonetheless, I passed! Thanks for the encouragement!

Hurry up is right! I have this CCRN exam in the morning and talk about not being in the zone at all...just hope that goes well!

Like I said, I didn't know any of that info about number of applicants versus interviews granted. But anyway, I hope that other portions of our applications were strong enough to pull us through...hurry up Thursday!

I feel ya! I did the same thing when I left....hindsight is 20/20 for sure! It will definitely be a long week. I'm taking my CCRN on Monday, maybe that will boost my confidence. Good luck to you!

Thanks BCRNA! yes it was difficult to say the least. Makes me feel very unnerving. My science GPA is a 4.0 so hopefully that will bring me some luck. Staying hopeful!

Hopefully you are right. Not sure if I fared so well in the confidence or knowledge department (today). I have a fairly competetive GPA and decent GRE score. My appearance and professionalism was fairly strong, so hopefully that will give me "points." They MAY have used me as the example of "royally" screwing up hahaha! ...Regardless, I'm going with your theory as well to keep my sanity in check!

Wow, didn't know about the science course....yikes! Same here, only one application so far. Agreed, finding new references would be difficult. I wish they would have asked more about "why" we chose MTSA/more traditional questions. I don't even feel like they know who I am or HOW much I want this...just kinda felt like a faceless person today!

Btw, did you apply to other schools? I haven't yet, but am in the process of getting things together for other institutions because today left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, so now until next week...no sleep for us! Going back to work tomorrow night will be rough! I'm trying to act like today never happened and wasn't quite so hard. Oh well, it's out of our hands at this point! Good luck to you!

Hopefully that will carry some significant weight, becuase like I have said over and over, it was BRUTAL! I walked out and immediately wanted to run back in there and say, "Wait, I meant to also say....!!"

I have no idea! Wow that's pretty impressive! 450 applicants? Wow! I've seen other posts on here that "early" interviews are significant for some reason? Is this true? Will they have another "wave" of interviews later in the year? That may be an older process, but I just noticied some past applicants talking about "early" interviews. ????

Thanks! Yes, I used the CCRN book to study for my interview as well. Hopefully the CCRN test will have a better outcome than that interview! I feel pretty comfortable with the hemo and vent management. I need to brush up on cardiomyopathies, and pathologic conditions--endocrine, etc. Also...Any idea how many applied versus how many interviews they granted?

MurseEagle, saw where you have your CCRN certification. I take mine Monday...wish I would have had it pre-interview. Tried to let the administrative staff I was taking it next week, not that it will help me any at this point. I've been studying the Pass CCRN! book. Any helpful hints on that exam?

Wow, I will be thrilled with any phone call....period! Hopefully the rest of my application will pull me through, becuase I did NOT feel great about that interview! Whew!

Yes absolutely! This day has been exhausting! Hopefully we will both be admitted and can discuss the strenuous interview! It will be a long week for sure! :/

Wow that's exactly how I felt...had the same EXACT scenario as you! Yes, I feel much more anxious post-interview. Kinda glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Im staying hopeful, but I honestly don't know what to think. Keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck to you!

:confused:Are there any 2011 MTSA interviewees out there? (applicants for class 2012-2014). Interview today was NOT GOOD! Panel only asked 3-4 questions and didn't even mentioned cellular mechanism of drugs, which I studied numerous hours. I was only in the room about 5-8 minutes and was asked about intubation, of all things! Left that room feeling defeated and incompetent. President's interview went much better, but still not very hopeful considering panel interview. I have a 3.9 undergraduate GPA and 1000 GRE score, but I don't know how much that will help me at this point. Any body else interview recently?:confused:

just had an interview at MTSA this morning...it was rough! panel interview was short, and kinda awkwardly silent. only asked 3-4 questions....nothing about cellular mechanism of drugs. left feeling not so great....anyone else interview at MTSA recently?

just had my interview at MTSA this AM...was it brutal!!! not feeling very good about the 5-8 minute interview with panel. talked with president and felt good about those questions. anyone else have an interview at MTSA recently?
