I got suspened once for not charting for another nurse!!!! Imagine that!!!! Back when I was on the floor, it was nothing to have 13 pts on a team. It is really a shame they suspended you.

Thank you so much for responding. I thought I was being over reacting as I have been out of floor nursing for so long. I even consulted a lawyer friend. He said the same thing. Thanx u make me feel better.

I am filling in part time in an ob/gyn dr office. The regular gal is off on maternity leave. Last friday, the dr gave the secretary a med order and the gal called it into the pharmacy. I am and LPN in Illiniois. I have been out of floor/office nursing for a while. I am a medical auditor and am doing this as a favor for a friend. I am concerned that the dr is giving orders to a lay person. Have things changed that much in 10 yrs.?(that's how long I have been off of the floor) If that is the case, why in the heck to we have to go to school. Please advise as I do not know what to do. tia
