  1. quit stressing, because it is NOT on the test. As you can tell from my previous posts, I worried SO much about the HESI myself. Don't worry though. It was super easy! If you are a little rusty on math, I would focus on fractions, decimals and conversions (I think one was mL to gallons or something like that). Other than that, PLEASE don't stress. It is not worth stressing over!
  2. @EPPugh yes, you get the results right away, like you did with the TABE. If you pass all of the sections, they give you a list of essays to choose from (you choose one) and you have 30 minutes to write a 200 word essay.
  3. Took my Hesi earlier...and I passed with a 98! Going to turn in my application by the end of the week and hopefully will get in! EPPugh...yes, you def should start taking the tests cause the deadline for the Jan program is Oct 31.
  4. Sundreams: I bought the Hesi exam guide. Were there Chemistry, Physics and A&P sections on the test or just the Math, Reading comp, Vocab and Grammar? Were the vocab words similar to the medical terminology words that are in the study guide? Was the entire test multiple choice? What was the essay at the end of the test about?
  5. Thanks, Sundream! I am going to take the Hesi next Tuesday. I am going to Barnes and Noble tom to buy the book. I also printed out that study guide from the web site you posted. Between the book and the guide, I should do okay, shouldn't I? I am panicking over the Hesi test. Was it a very difficult test or am I just thinking too much into it? Also, it mentions an essay if you pass all parts of the Hesi. What was the essay for/about? Thanks!
  6. I took the Tabe test today. I scored very well. I was told that I should do well on my Hesi because the two tests are similar. By what I have been reading on these posts, the Hesi sounds more difficult. If you have taken it, please tell me what to expect. I would like to get into the January full time program. Are the spots to get into the program competitive? Or do most people that apply usually get in? The deadline for the application is October 31. Do you think there are still spots available? Any response would be appreciated!
