I work at DHMC and have 10 years of nursing experience. I make $35.99/hr.

When do you all start these screenings? Any tips for a new school nurse on how to organize these screenings? I'm wondering what month to start them, how many kids to send down to my office at once, etc. Any advice you could offer would be great. Thanks!

I was told that I can come in 2 weeks before school starts to get myself organized. That made me feel a little better. :)

What advice could you give me for getting organized the week before school starts?

I have no experience in Peds. I have experience in ER, psych and neuro.

I'm so excited that I got the job offer for the school nurse position that I interviewed for last week. There are so many wonderful opportunities that go along with the position like helping with Girls on the Run, Ending Hunger in our community and Santa's Helpers (providing gifts to children who wouldn't otherwise have gifts), etc. I'm just so excited to start this job!
