  1. I just recently graduated from the nursing program with my ADN and I am have a difficult time even making it to the interview process. I have applied for several nursing positions and residency programs within the Franciscan and Multicare Health Systems and I am not selected. What am I doing wrong? How can I make myself stand out and valuable?
  2. Here is another question I am having difficulty with... A 29-year-old patient is to receive cardioversion for his dysrhythmia. The nurse will instruct the patient to expect: a. administration of a short-acting sedative b. his digoxin dose to be taken as scheduled c. the procedure to be completely safe d. pacemaker spikes to be monitored carefully
  3. I am having a difficult time finding the answer for this question... 1. A nurse is admitting a client who has acute heart failure following myocardial infarction (MI) and is reviewing the provider's orders. Which of the following prescriptions by the provider requires clarification? a. Morphine sulfate 2 mg IV bolus every 2 hr PRN pain b. 0.9% normal saline IV at 250 mL/hr continuous c. Laboratory testing of serum potassium upon admission d. Bumetanide (Bumex) 1 mg IV bolus every 12 hr Am I on the right track.... In my mind and rationale... Acute heart failure means fluid overload and pain.... So, I wouldn't question the morphine, or the Bumetanide because its a loop diuretic. I wouldnt question the labs for serum potassium either because of the loop diuretic... which leaves B... 0.9% normal saline IV at 250 mL/hr continuous
  4. Is there a book out there that will go through a step-by-step assessment and provide you with the typical verbiage used in the clinical setting... I can write exactly what I have observed but I would like to be able to document it properly
  5. I am currently a drafter aspiring to be a nurse... I know what a change... Currently I have my C.N.A. license, all of my pre-requisites for the nursing program and I am regeistered for the February LPN class at Bates Technical College. I decided to take the step by step process becuase I thought it would provide me with great practical experience... The problem I am currently running into is that I can't find a hosptial that will look at me with no experience. I need advise as to my game plan...
