  1. I worked as a secretary at a hospital while going through nursing school. You can also look into being a CNA or nurse tech at a hospital.
  2. I live in California, about an hour from Los Angeles so there are a lot of schools around me. There is only one school in the town I live in and the next closet school is about 35 minutes away. When I was in the program my school accepted 80 students. That has now been cut from 65 to 40. They are hoping to get back up to 80 soon though. I had to wait a year to get into the program. This proabably the shortest wait time around me. Some schools have a 2 year plus wait! Good luck!
  3. It worked for me about a year ago!
  4. Good luck! Stay strong and believe in yourself! :)
  5. At least they were looking out for you guys! I have never heard of anything like this before! Glad you found an answer!
  6. I worked part time through the whole nursing program. I don't have kids which makes it 100 times easier I'm sure. I was able to study a little bit while at work so this also helped. A lot of people in my program worked part time with kids and a few even worked full time. I have no clue how they did it but they did. It is possible!
  7. I don't know why you received a provisional license. I took the NCLEX last year and received my license in the mail within 2 weeks and was never issued a provisional license. Maybe it is something new they are doing?
