Anderson University 2017 FNP Cohort
Thank you so much! A lot of information that is very useful. I want to be prepared when I enter the FNP workforce and this school sounds like a fit for me. If you have a chance with your rigorous schedule, do you mind sharing with me what the intensives consist of each semester? Also, I read where I have to write a personal statement letter. One of my references has already been turned in by my nurse manager and another was sent to a MD I work with in the ED. I have to get in contact with one of my professors in nursing school to see if she can send in a reference, but do you think its good to have more than 3 references. Also, what was the average GPA to enter the program (I saw where the minimum was 3.2, I did not know if the median was 3.5 or closer to a 4.0??) Thanks again for the previous post. I wish you al the best and I hope you enjoy your clinicals!

How do you like the program? Are you working while completing online courses? Are you part time or full time? I just applied and have sent my transcripts today for Fall admission. Sorry for all the questions!

Can an Ace Bandage be used for an ulcer?
I have a question about an arterial heel ulcer. If a duoderm bandage is placed on the heel, can an Ace Bandage be utilized to wrap the heel up to the knee? I asked a more seasoned nurse why and she said rudely because it's an arterial ulcer. Everywhere i have read says it is not a good idea. Of course she didn't have any other explanation because she is not a certified wound nurse, just someone who is just filling in. So over the defensiveness when politely asked a question.

RN-MSN-FNP Chamberlain
If you don't mind, can you elaborate on why? What program would you recommend?

RN-MSN-FNP Chamberlain
Hi Fellow Nurses! I am actively seeking the Chamberlain RN-BSN-MSN FNP Program (whew, that was a lot to type.) I have a BA in another subject and work PT as an RN. I have a lot of questions before I send in my transcripts. 1. How long does this entire program take? 2. Does my preceptor have to be in the same state that I reside in? 3. How much does the program cost? Can I apply for a Stafford Loan or any type of Financial Aid? 4. What's the pass rate of the program? I appreciate any suggestions or information that any of you may have.

Tips on passing the NCLEX? Study plan for 6 weeks out?
Hi All, Getting ready to move to another state with 3 kids and my husband is away due to military obligations. So needless to say....I have a lot on my plate. I scheduled and rescheduled my NCLEX due to a death in the family and trying to pack up for our move. I want to be prepared to pass. Any suggestions? Is the Kaplan class worth the 500.00? I have access to the questions, yet should I take the class?
