Well, for starters, I am not entirely sure I am in the right part of this forum... but I more or less need advice. I am a CNA Overnight, and the recent issue i have had is my constant back/ neck/ various other body aches due to sleeping in my patients living room on a couch right outside of her bedroom; so, I bring up the idea of putting a bed in a room up stairs (which is also very, very close to her bedroom-- not to mention I have a baby monitor right next to my head as I sleep, just in case.) anyway, she freaks out at me, and proceeds to tell me she does not pay me to sleep up stairs, and I should be right outside of her room. Which... I can understand to some degree, but, wouldn't I be a better help if I were well rested other than the times she needs me throughout the night? My sleep is already very limited, why not make it comfortable? I would appreciate opinions. As I am not sure how to feel about this one. On one hand I feel I should feel grateful I have a well paying job, but on the other hand, what exactly would this hurt? Thank you very much in advance. Just to add some information, My patient is a very competent healthy mature-in-the-age woman, other than her recent MS -- Diagnosed about 10 years ago.
