Summer Nursing School Choices
I am a rising sophomore in a BSN program. I've been working as a file clerk in a clinic for 3 years, and I'm volunteering doing clerical work at a medical non-profit this summer as well. I really want to study abroad, which I can only do in the summers. I'm not sure if employers would rather I had clinical experience during my sophomore and junior summers over studying abroad my sophomore summer and doing clinical work my junior summer. I only ask because a lot of people in my class are already working as techs and CNAs for their freshmen summers, and I only have clerical medical experience, so I feel like I'm behind.

CNA at the Manhattan Institute
Hi, I just finished my first year of nursing school. my mom is an RN and she advised me to go through CNA training. I found the Manhattan Institute was only 4 weeks, so I could start in July. I'm only 18 and I'm just worried everyone will be older. I've experienced some ageism at the clinic I've been working at. Can anyone who's gone through the program give any advice? Thanks!

University Hospital Nursing
Hi, i'm not sure if this is the right forum but i was curious if anyone here has experience/knows about working as a nurse at a university hospital. say, for example, IU health bloomington hospital or upenn hospital. would you be able to take classes there for free like employees of the school can? i'm not specifically targeting those schools but i am interested in continuing education in other fields since it's so hard to fit in another major or even minor while you're in a 4 year bsn program. thanks for your help!

NROTC or NCP
Hi, i'm currently a college freshman trying to transfer to a BSN program hopefully by this spring or next fall. I'm applying to a few schools but I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on their experiences going through the NROTC nurse option or NCP. Once I pick my school I cant change my decision since you cant go into an NCP program if your school has NROTC. Which seems like a better option? Thank you!
