  1. You can apply for NA when you complete your first year nursing courses but there is no certificate for that as lemidora answered. For UNE, I think AHS asks for xxx hours, please consult AHS website for this, which normally means completion of 2nd year nursing courses. However, it can be very competitive and very few people had the opportunity to get in that position. IMO I wouldn't be ready for UNE before I finish my adult health block.
  2. I would finish one semester early (3.5 years) because I took first half of my fourth year in July-August. I would say it is tough to finish earlier than that because of clinicals; we have clinical every semester from the second semester of the first year on. Everyone registers for clinicals at the same time, it usually is a co-requisite with other courses. You can take all the options and get ahead of the game, but some nursing courses offered only at certain time of year.
  3. Thanks so much, superveronica. I am planning to take the NCLEX few months after graduation. I am so going to study as you suggested, btw. thanks for textbook recommendation.
  4. I am one of the students who took summer 2011 course so I can graduate in December 2011. There were only 100 spots offered and awarded through first-come-first-serve registration. If you have early registration access compared to your nursing peers, the luck is on your side.
