  1. Richmond Lenox EMS does it every 2nd sat of the month. It is $50 and very good. 9am to 12 and you are done. I don't know were you are but the EMS post is on 32 mile road.
  2. Are you guys taking any classes this semester or this summer ( like the cpr/first aid or Humm/Phil requirement)or are you all done with those classes?
  3. I was in Intro to Nursing last year when the students got their letters, it was about April 20th so we only have about 1 more month till we find out. Although I have to admit, I hold my breath every day already when I get the mail. Good luck to you!
  4. Sounds great, I cannot wait to start! Good for you for going back to school, I also am an older student and think that I will be very happy with my choice to attend MCC. My GPA right now is 4.0 I am finishing up patho micro and don't expect it to change but you never know. My hesi is 97. Good luck to your daughter, maybe we will start together.
  5. I definately do not know for sure that I will be starting in August. I think like every other pre nursing student I am being optimistic and hoping I will be starting in August. My grades are good and I am not afraid of hard work so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Did you just start the program this year? How do you like it? What are the labs like?
  6. If you're in A and P now you should be fine, I took it last winter semester and was fine with the review in the evolve book. There were only 30 questions in the A and P section (which I thought was strange) and everything was pretty broad, nothing to specific. I am in Pathogenic micro right now and loving it. Then I am done and start the big waiting game, wish we didn't have to wait until aug to start, I'm ready now. Good luck to you on Saturday, you will do great I'm sure. Liz
  7. My best advice is to know that study guide inside and out, the math is exactly what is in the book, which suprised me because I was expecting more and thought that the review guide was not giving enough of a review. I was wrong, if you know the review guide you will be fine. Take your time, you have 4 hours. There a lots of conversions but most of them are metric to metric, some are ml to oz, but there was no apothecary measurements anywhere. I am applying this feb for the 2012/13 year, I assume you are too. Are you taking any classes right now?
  8. Review the Evolve study guide, everything you need is in that book. I was freaking out prior to taking the test because I was afraid there wasn't enough review in that book, there is. If you know that stuff you will do great. Good luck, and take your time you get 4 hours.
  9. Any MCC nursing students out there that can tell me what the first semester is like? Hopefully I will be starting in August and was just wondering what to expect. Thanks
  10. MCC

I took the class in March. Who is your instructor? We were the last class that used a different book(they didn't buy ours back, they went to a new edition) so I don't know if they changed the class at all, but we had a test just about every week over the previous weeks covered material. We also had 1 group presentation. But she gave us class time to organize and prepare for it. We had 1 really intense week of the math, and then you will not use the math book again, but you will use it if you get into the nursing program from what I have heard. Good luck and enjoy, it was a fun class.
  11. I'm taking the Hesi on Nov 11th, any MCC nursing students have tips on what to study for?
