She is a difficult teacher but her class is not impossible. I believe she makes it harder to help weed out the "weaker" students. Make sure you take her class in person and you should be fine.

Thank you Euphonicus! You helped relieve some of my anxiety. I received a 98% in reading, 96% in vocab, 94% in math, and 90% in grammar. I think I am going to retake math and grammar if I don't make it into the Fall program. I am currently taking Microbiology and A&P II. My plan was to take Pharmacology in the summer if I am accepted, or taking it in the Fall if I am not. I noticed that the trend seemed to be around 2-3 weeks for the letters. My advisor told me that they will be going out the first week of April. However, I noticed that she doesn't give out concrete answers to any of my questions. When I asked whether I should retake the HESI, she just said I could if I wanted. I am wondering if she gives generic answers to maintain fairness, maybe? But thank you again and I hope the semester is going well for you.

May I ask what everyone got on their HESI and if you had all your prereqs done? I am applying for Fall 2014 and in the process of taking my last 2 classes with a 94.5%. I am trying to decide whether to take the HESI again :). Also, how long did it take to get your letters? Thanks!

I am taking AP 1, Nutrition, and health math.

Great Falls, MT at Benefis Hospital, it is a great hospital that focuses on team work, safety, and communication. They have had a very hard time finding quality CNAs in the state but will only hire those who provide great care. I do know that California has a surplus of CNAs so I imagine it is hard to find a job. When I was a CNA in highschool in California we did clinicals in a nursing home and it seemed like everyone was burnt out. It is a much different environment at the hospital I work at compared to that nursing home.

I became certified in July and was offered my choice between two jobs at the hospital in my town. I did not have any experience but had a main interview with three different units. I chose PCU and love love love it! It is a critical care unit with a max of 14 patients and the nurses are fantastic. I also float to ICU and CVU and I still change bedding due to incontinence but briefs (not diapers) are not permitted without a doctor order. I learn about new things everyday and the nurses answer any questions I have and are eager to explain why they are giving a certain medicine, treatment, etc. It seems like my experience is not the norm though. During orientation we were informed that for every job given, there were 20 other applicants.
