Hey everyone, I reside in San Diego, CA, and I just turned in my nursing school applications to Grossmont Community College and MiraCosta Community College. Anticipating acceptance (cross my fingers), I have my heart set on MiraCosta Community College. However, it is a further commute than Grossmont, and it is also a 45-minute drive away from my job. I would have to relocate to somewhere central, or pick where I want to live closer to: either my job, or my school. Before I make my final decision on which school I want to attend, I want to know the quality of the each program. I know the courses are going to be the same, but I'm more concerned about the quality of the instructors and how well each program prepares the students. Is there any way to compare the programs from each school? (Maybe I'm looking for personal opinions, since the only results I'm going to find on the internet are going to be quantitative data.) Or if anyone is reading this, please provide your personal opinion on the program if you attend either Grossmont or MiraCosta. Thanks, Melissa, CNA.
