  1. Hi! I just got a job at a nursing home, and during an endorsemment/report, i heard a nurse say that a patient had PCT @ 6am. I heard this twice now but I dont know what PCT means. I've asked another nurse, but I didn't get what she said. Do you know what this means?
  2. We're on the same boat. Sent out applications everyday only to be turned down because of no experience.
  3. Hi! I'm a foreign graduate and just recently passed my NCLEX. We moved to Tampa a few months ago and now I'm looking for a job in hospitals as an RN. I don't have any certification as to IV therapy, CPR, or BLS since after I finished my BSN course and passed my local boards, I immediately entered Medical School. Now, because of moving to US, I had to stop medical school and find job as an RN. Do I NEED to get IV therapy certification before I could practice as an RN? As for CPR, BLS, AED and ACLS, I see some positions in which they are "preferred" but not necessarily required. Can you please verify this so that if IV therapy certification is not a REQUIREMENT, I wouldn't have to spend $100-$200 for classes. Thank you. Hope someone can answer this for me.
