I am currently a cardiac nurse and have accepted a position as an ortho nurse at the hospital where I work. This will be the first time I have worked in orthopedics. Can anyone tell me what to expect and how it compares to cardiac nursing?

I work on a telemetry unit, not all are patients are on drips, but a majority of them are. Ratio on days 1:5 Nights 1:7 Days 4 nurses 4 aides one clinical supervisor Nights 3-4 nurses, no aides.
