I just want to make sure that management would be an opportunity along the way in my RN career... i do not want to jump right into management, but just curious if i would have the opportunity with a ADN degree as I further my RN career. My mother in law always tells me that she regrets not getting an BSN because she can't get into management she has been an RN for 15+years.. so i just wanted to get some advice from some other nurses to see what there opinion was on a degree in another field. Thanks so much!
thank you for your fast response, after searching my topic in other forums ( i suppose i should have done that first!) your answer is similar to all the other ones... that if you want a better chance of getting into management that BSN are the degree of choice, regardless of previous degrees obtained. :) Thanks!!
I am new to this website! Not sure if anyone has answered this question already. I have completed my 4 year degree in Business graduated in 2008. I am thinking about going back to school to get an ADN degree. I have read many post on this forum about ADN vs BSN that is is super hard to get into management with just a ADN degree. With my previous degree in business would it still be hard for me to get into nursing management if i do not have a BNS? any suggestion or direction to the right forum with this answer would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!
