New Grad Needs Help!!!
Thank you for your post! I have applied to DePaul, Maryview, and Mary Immaculate but you can only put x amount of applications in. Are you currently working at any of these hospitals? I feel as though it helps to know people who work at the hospital that you are applying to. So for me moving to another state and not knowing anyone is hard. Do you have any advice? Thank you for your time!

Just moved to Virginia, new RN grad with no experience
Hello New Grad, I am in your same position. I graduated in May but I am still studying for my boards that I will be taking in September. I have applied pretty much everywhere and have been turned down for my lack of experience as well. I am waiting until I take my boards to move out to Virginia Beach area. There are so many hospitals around this area and so many job postings so I am hoping to hear back from some HR people. It is so frustrating just sitting around praying for someone to look at my application. How long have you been applying?

Best Hospitals to work in Hampton Roads Area
"I lived and worked in HR for many years, I don't think there is a bad choice, but if I was able to choose, I'd try to get on at Portsmith Naval Hospital. Portsmith isn't a convenient location, but the population is a cool mix of Service Members and Civilians. Plus the benefits as a government contractor are excellent... Not for everyone, but that's what I'd do if I could wave a magic wand!" KJStarling- Can civillians apply to the Portsmith Naval Hospital? And if so, do yo know how to apply? I am not finding anywhere to apply?

New Grad Needs Help!!!
Hello Fellow Nurses! I am currently a BSN graduate of The College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN. I will be taking my boards at the beginning of September. I will be moving to Virginia Beach in a couple months. I am wondering if anyone has any tips for a new grad during my application process with any of the hospitals around Virginia Beach. I am eager to start my nursing career and need help. It is always hard for new graduates to find jobs because of the experience needed. I have applied to many jobs throughout the U.S. and have not had any luck. I feel as though my resume and cover letter are good. But I am wondering if there is something more I could do to get the attention of the nursing recruiters at the Virginia hospitals. I am excited start my first nursing job but I feel as though I am sitting on my hands. Does anyone have any suggestions? - Eager New Grad!
