What is your current LPN salary
Hi there! Just wondering what part of VA you live in? I am considering moving down to VA (Richmond area) from New Jersey and am wondering about the salaries of LPN's in VA. I currently have 8 months experience. Thanks! :-)

Where can a new grad LPN get a job with decent pay and lower cost of living??
Hello my fellow nurses. I am a new grad LPN. Graduated school in Sept 2011. Have had my license since December 2011. Still no job. I live in New Jersey..The market here has been really tough, especially with the way the economy still is. Aside from that, having been born and raised in nearby NYC, I crave to leave the Northeast! I want to live and work someplace where there a good amount of LPN jobs, and a lower cost of living. I am a single mom of an almost 5 year old and I don't want to continue to raise her up here. I'm also sooo tired of the really cold weather and the ridiculous rents! My question is, where can I move to (preferably east coast) that has jobs available for LPN's, warmer weather, and decent cost of living?? Does this place even exist??? I have experience as a medical assistant and a phlebotomist so I am open to working in doctor's offices as well. Where should I go??? Any suggestions would be sooo appreciated!! Thanks!!!

The Truth to the Pearson Vue Trick & My Results Timeline
Hello everyone! So, this is my first time actually posting to any threads..I discovered this site while I was in PN school and read many forums about the PVT and wondered if it was reliable.I am a HUGE skeptic when it comes to things like this.. Well, today, Friday December 2nd, 2011 @ 12 pm, I took the NCLEX-PN. And let me just tell you that I couldn't get out of that testing room fast enough!! I am convinced that I failed! My computer shut off after 85 questions. The questions that I had were SO hard!! Just typing this now is giving me anxiety and I am having heart palpitations. SMH..I was hit with like 15 SATA and maybe 2 math questions..and lots of Peds..which I happen to not be very fond of and of course, I get loads of them on the NCLEX!! I went home sobbing, calling my mom telling her " I think I failed!!" So I figured I would try the PVT. Besides, what did I have left to lose anyway? The time is now 6 pm, same day.. I got what they call "The good pop-up"..Even did it twice just to be sure. I must admit, it helped calm my nerves just a little bit..enough for me to stop shaking but I STILL need to see it in black and white. I should find out on tuesday and will of course post an update!
