I got my cna license awhile ago. Before that i was working as a home health aide. It feels like im doing the same job. Only more clinical. I work for a home care agency. I have 4 patients a week. Im driving to this city and then another one. The agency doesn't pay for my gas. Thats a big part that i dont like. I feel like working in a facility or hospital would pay more, no traveling (no wasting gas), no dealing with patients calling me any random time like on my days off, and i would have co workers, and it would be more exciting. The only thing i like about home care is that you really dont do anything there. But im tired of dealing with new schedules every month. I was thinking to work at a facility on the weekends. Like 3 12hr shifts. So that way i can go to school during the week. Has anyone seen a difference with pay in home care and a facility? Thanks
