Hi guys, I too am interested in applying, but really have no idea where to start. The recruiter I spoke with today has never even heard of the NCP so that was very dissappointing. What is the process, where do you start?

How has this process gone for you so far? I just recently found out about the program and would love to be in it. I just contacted a recruiter today and sadly he had never even heard of it! Any advice? it sounds like this is a pretty intense application process (makes me think of nursing school applications!). Does anyone know how it works? I'm in my first semester of nursing school and should graduate December of 2013. Thanks!

nutrition, sociology and patho. but i never sent my final grades because I was on the waitlist. But now i'm thinking that that was a mistake and maybe that's why I haven't gotten a call. :/ did u send your grades as soon as they came out?

No I haven't heard anything, I'm going to call tomorrow, but this late, I doubt I'll get in. Were you still working on pre-reqs last semester?

I got waitlisted. So the wait continues :/

i called today and they said letters would go out this afternoon via snail mail :-/ but everyone else found out via email so I have a feeling that these are rejection letters they were speaking of :-/

anyone hear from utmb today as far as acceptences??

Lavender- did you ever get an interview? I wouldn't give up. I would call and demand to know why you weren't accepted. At least if you know that then you know what to work on so that you can be a better applicant next time. I agree with everyone else, NEVER give up on something if that is truly your dream. If you do some research on here, some of the people who were accepted for Spring 12 have applied more than once, and they finally got in. Even if you have to apply 2-3 times. And expand your search, there are so many other programs out there that I'm sure would give you a chance. Point is- NEVER GIVE UP. I knw you'll find a school that will be great for you!

Oh by no means is it not a problem for me lol. But again any nursing school is better than none. I'll find some means to get through it. Thank you all though :-)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update because I was accepted to Houston Baptist University's nursing program for Spring 2012. I'm still waiting on UTMB because that is my first choice school, but I will gladly go anywhere that accepts me! Best of luck to everyone in the admissions process! By the looks of ya'lls scores, none of yall should have any problems getting in.

Ladydeeb- yes you have to have interviews Freshstart- CONGRATULATIONS! But I have a feeling if You interview tuesday and have already heard back, they probably decided no on me :-( I hope they tell me something soon! But I'm sure you'll do great! Best of luck!

Freshstart- I had my interview yesterday as well!! I'm nervous as to when we'll hear back because there was a time when people were finding out if not the same day then the next day after interviewing. But my interviewer told me I would hear back next week :-( also, I have a feeling my chances might be slim b/c I told them I've already been accepted at Houston Baptist and accepted my spot. But only b/c I hadn't heard back from UTMB! Very anxious over here :/ Ladydeeb- Yes you still need TEAS

Yes its definitely good to know there are others still waiting, I was feeling pretty left out lol. And no I spoke to T.C., or maybe its E.C. , i know it ends with C haha, but she emailed me the same that it would be reviewed last monday, but now they say friday. They also told me after friday it would be 2-3 weeks before i heard anything! Which I know can't be true as fast as everyone was getting invited, interviewed and accepted the last two weeks. So I'm not sure, theyre giving the run around. But yeah, since everyone else moved to FB lets try an keep eachother posted :-)

Lavender: you haven't heard anything either? I'm still holding out. I actually got accepted into Houston Baptist University's BSN program, but I prefer UTMB so my fingers are still crossed >.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! It made me feel much better. :) I guess i'll just have to take this week as it comes and see what happens.

Its been a couple of days since i've been on here, but I just wanted to say again CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that has gotten accepted I'm really excited for you all and ya'll are awesome! For everyone in the same boat as me-- waiting for an interview: I e-mailed T.C. regarding my application and she told me it would be reviewed next week and invitations would go out next Friday. I then asked her if this will be one of the last times the SON meets for considerations, and she told me "close to it". So right now i'm feeling that if I don't get an e-mail next week, I probably never will. Especially because I had a 3.23 when applying and only 86% on my TEAS. Oh and to top it off I've had to repeat two classes to get there. I'm really feeling like my chances are slim, which is so upsetting because i've never wanted anything more than to get into this nursing school. But i guess everything happens for a reason. I feel like after next weeks meeting, if that's not the last, they'll probably only have one more. So good luck to everyone waiting for a chance to prove themselves!

Thanks! And good job to you on your pre-req GPA. Wow, AP I & II at the same time sounds pretty rough. Good luck! As far as the HESI, to be completely honest it was not that difficult for me. And I am in no way trying to brag. What I did is just checked out (for free!) a HESI study guide from my school's library (HBU) and studied everything in there. Although it was pretty much common sense, of course some questions being more difficult than others. Any questions on a particular subject you're worried about?
