  1. Hi everyone, I'm a newbie making a HUGE life change as I pursue a nursing career. I have a non-nurse college degree, so I am looking into Accelerated BSN programs at 3 different schools in the Philadelphia suburbs. From previous posts on this site, I do have a little insight into West Chester's & DeSales's programs. There has not been much said about Eastern University's program though. 1 think I like about Eastern is that they are a 2 year program (not really considered accelerated), so I could do an externship the summer between year 1 & 2. If anyone has gone to or is currently going to any of these schools, I'd love your insight...the good, the bad & the ugly. I am trying to have all of my pre-reqs complete by December so I can start a program in May, but I don't know if my chances are less since I won't be done them all yet if I try to apply in the Fall. I don't want to wait until Dec to apply b/c I'm afraid I won't get in if all of the other applicants apply before me. I really really really hope to get in for May 2012 so I don't have to wait another whole year. I'm not getting any younger:( I will not be able to get a good night's rest until I am accepted into a program...I'm pretty stressed about just chosing the right school. Then I'm sure I still won't get a good night's sleep once I'm in school either, but I know it will be worth all of the hard work & stress in the long run. Above all else, I am really excited about my future! Thanks for any responses:)
