I finally got my RN title.... I PASSED!!
Re-reading my post from 2yrs ago and i can't help but cry (tears of joy). This was a time in my life that i really thank God for. I am so priviledged to have awesome people in my life that helped me thru it. I am still in the Nursing profession and still loving it, even though there has been times i wanted to throw in the towel. Just wanted to update everyone. I still think kaplan and allnurses is God's gift to nursing student. Hope everyone is well.

Dialysis patient and IV fluid
I think this is so because of their inability to filter water out. This can cause other issues such as fluid overload, and possibly heart failure.

Today was my first day and i must say, it wasnt as bad as i thought- One doctor yelled at me. 2 out of 6 of my pt left AMA and i was at work till 0830. Other than that i was ok. I knew i could count on people on allnurses for words of encourgement. Thank you

Thank you everyone! I have being working for some weeks now and so far so good. I left the agency i started with earlier because i didn't like how the worked around medicare and some of the things they did. I can't risk the license i worked so hard to get. I join another agency and so far so good. I'll keep you all updated!

New Grad and HH
Hey everyone, I am a new grad who took a position as a field nurse with an HH agency. I have applied to every hospital in dallas and have heard nothing positive. I am so frustrated with the whole job search and to add salt to injury, my mom lost her job. I was so desperate to find something so not to lose our house. I took a position as a field nurse in an HH agency and from what we (The DON and I) talked about it seems different from anything else i know. I am still trying to wrap the number of visits per week around my mind. i called a friend to help me with paperwork so i'll see how that goes. I am excited to start working as a nurse but i don't know just yet if this is where i want to be. Any suggestion for me would be appreciated. what should i look out for? who do i call if something happens to a patient on the field? i am sooo confused! I start orientation monday btw! Thank you all God bless

Practice tests vs. NCLEX
I didn't use the books you mention so i can't compare their level of difficulty to NCLEX. However from personal experience, i know kaplan practice questions are the closest to nclex ( in my opinion). I am also a big believer in reading rationales of your practice questions and i think kaplan has good rationales for their questions. God favor on your test. You can do it. IF i can So CAN YOU!!

Passed Nclex 3rd Time!!!
Congratulations :)))
