  1. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL (IN THE NEW YORK CITY CAMPUS). I am a registered medical assistant/phlebotomist and I have been attending this school for for 2 semesters so far. I was told that after taking ten general pre-requisite classes I could apply to the Lpn program considering good grades and passing the TEAS exam. However, they try to make you stay in the medical assistant program and get certified until you qualify for lpn application. They do not have enough classes to meet student requirements so then you are held back from completing your requirements. I signed a contract with this school stating that I am taking pre-reqs in the medical assistant program to qualify for admission to lpn and when I received my class schedule the dean scheduled me for MA classes! She told me that "by law" I had to take them since I was enrolled in the MA program. She said she didn't know anything about the MA to LPN program and she's the dean of academic affairs at the school! I don't know about the Boston, Albany or Pittsburgh campuses but the NYC campus is taking students for a ride and money! They try to force you to take their CPR course for 8 weeks if you're already certified, too. They will put classes on your schedule you don't need and if you drop them (like CPR) then they claim they don't have anything else for you to take so, according to them, you should keep the classes in order to satisfy your financial aid. I have heard grumbles from both the MA and MA to LPN students. Trust me, you do not want to come to this NYC campus.
