Hi all. I am not a nursing student yet -- but would love to be. My question for you professionals out there is this: what are the differences and "hierarchy" of the different designations of nurses? I see LPN, ADN, RN, BSN, MSN, etc. tossed around, but I have no idea what many of them are or how they differ from the others. I already have a college degree (in English of all things) but wonder do I change to a BSN then go for an RN or what is the protocol? Hope this doesn't mean I am too dumb to even tackle this career. Thanks, in advance, for your input. Claudia Nursing student hopeful
