  3. You are welcome!!!!
  4. Hello, I have to pay for my books out of pocket and I find a website that is pretty cheap. I order from them and it takes about two weeks, but they are the cheapest books that I have come across. Hopes this helps:nurse:http://www.valorebooks.com/
  5. Hello I have started also, but will be starting clinicals in January. Cant wait!!! Best of luck to everyone:yeah:
  6. Hey did you start the second sequence? I started the first sequence, I have all my pre-req, so I am just taking the psychology online. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) told me that everyone who apply to the second sequence should get if they have everything.
  7. Hello, I wont be able to make it pls let me know what happen

  9. Congrats!!!!! Yes, pls look me up on facebook, bridgette dunlap-simmons.... When did you get your acceptance letter for the nursing sequence??? I applied to it, but I think it will get denied since I am missing the psy class. That is awesome, you passed:yeah::yeah::yeah:
  10. Thanks coolbeans!!! I to have a BS in another subject and is about to start Nursing School for my ADN. You were dead -on, that is exactly how I have been thinking lately. But I will do as you suggested and purchase the Sauders book and stay positive:yeah:. Good luck to you!!
  11. Thank you all for the kind words!!!I feel alot better, I will stop reading some of these negative post. Good luck to you all:yeah:
  12. Thanks! I guess I used the wrong wording, it is just that I read on here, that most people dont make it out of Nursing School without have to repeat a class, that terrified me. I am just so nervous.. Thanks for the words of wisdom:yeah:
  13. Hello, I have been reading several post on allnurses, and some of them leave me terrified. I will begin Nursing School this fall. I wanted to know is it true that in Nursing School expect to fail at least one nursing course? I know that some people probably never failed a course, just trying to see about the majority. Thank you
  14. Me too!!! I have called, the only thing they told me is that we will register for classes and have advisement.. I have been nervous, since June when I recieve my acceptance letter. Good luck to you!
  15. Hello, I understand where you are coming from, I dont think that you are second guessing your choice, but instead just dont want to waste valuable time. I was in your same situation, after applying to nursing school in not getting in, I went on to get my BS in Health Service Managment, after that I started on my Master in Public Health, which I will graduate in Jan 2012. This year I applied to nursing school and I will start this Fall. If you dont get in the progam right away, I think it is a good ideal to get a degree that will compliment your nursing degree. I say go for it!!Good Luck!!!
  16. Hello, Just wondering who will be starting the ADN program at Troy? I was accepted into the program and orientation is Aug 9, 2011 ( any information about the session will be helpful)... I am so excited and any information the you can provide will be great!!! Thank you and Good Luck to all the future prospect:nurse::yeah:
  17. Hello, I am also starting the program this fall. I am a second degree student and I also need general psychology, to start my nursing course. I have taken all the classes in sequence one, beside the psy class. Question, will troy allow you to clep out of this class? I called, to see if they would accepted my other psy classes, in replace of the general psychology and they didnt even mention the fact, that I could try to clep out.... Good luck to both of you!!!
  18. 1. WHEN IS YOUR START DATE? Aug 9, 2011 2 WHAT STATE ARE YOU IN? AL 3 PROGRAM (lpn, adn, bsn)? ADN 4 WHAT IS THE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU ARE HOLDING ONTO RIGHT NOW? Trust in God 5. WHO IS YOUR GREATEST MOTIVATION TO COMPLETE NURSING SCHOOL? My four year old son, and my mom and dad;)
  19. Hello, Congrats on your choice to pursue nursing school !!! At any rate , when I first applied to nursing school a couple of years ago in Atlanta, I was turn down at least four times. With that being said, I went to get my BS in Health Services and start working on my Master in Public Health. I was able to raised my gpa to a 3.6. I applied this year and was accepted. I start this fall. You might want to try in take some classes to raised your gpa and then apply. Throughout my research in the Atlanta area, the average gpa is about 3.6 or higher. Research the nursing schools in your area, and ask them what is the average gpa of the students that they accepted. Most nursing schools have this information on hand. Just keep trying and never give up, if this is what you really want to do. Best of luck:nurse:
  20. i tried posting in the career section and didn't receive any response. how long have you been in the adn? what are you trying to do with your degrees and your license? are you trying to be on the clinical side or non-clinical? keep me updated if you find any additional info. thank you
  21. Thank you, that make sense. I have looked and it wouldnt be alot of classes. I am just starting the ASN program, so I wont be finish untill next year ( becaust I already done pre-req). I am hoping I dont have to get it, I am already paying for my ASN out of pocket, and have student loans for my BS and MPH. I will keep my fingers cross. Thanks for your advice, it is greatly appreciate:nurse:
  22. I get that the two degrees does not equal a BSN. What I want to know, would I be able to possible move up in management position without the BSN, if I have a 2 yr RN license, but also non nursing degrees in Health Management. I was wondering if any nurses on here have done that without a BSN. I have read some post, and I see different things about people with ASN in managerial position, just trying to get a little more information on how they done it, was it because of years of experiences or did they have BS and another subject
