  1. i work at a nursing home, 60 yr male, certified nursing assisstant...been taking care of this resisdent for months, she gets a new room mate, and the first day i am working with the old resident, the new resident turns me into the nurse...she said i did not treat the older resident right, and did not like the way i talked to her.....i was changing brief on older lady, she has colon problem and severe diareah.....i told her i could not continue changing her with a new briefs, since she is non-stop sometimes with the diareah, but i do the best i can with her, and i allways leave with a new brief.**************For some reason, the new resident did not like to hear this, and turned me in.....when i started to work with the older resisdent, the new resident had a friend there, and i asked him to leave ...i could tell they did not like this...the new resisdent might had a motivation to lie about me since i asked her friend to leave the room while changing the older resident***** the older resisdent expects me to leave with a new brief on , i leave the room with a clean one on, and answer her lights properly... i sometimes make the remark that i could not change briefs continiouisly , but i really did not mean it, and did allways change her with with a new one...the older resident did realize that she had a problem...and did not take this litteally, but the new resisdent did.. i realized the day before i got sent home , that my choice of words where not appropiate with the new resident, though the older resident , it was not a problem... but still , i should not be saying that...i an aware of my mistake now ... i am not under investigation, got sent home today,,,,,i told the unit manager that i did say that i could not change briefs continiously, i stated because of her condtion.....that was wrong... is there anyway i can resolve this correctly, i did not know i would get in so much trouble from a new resident,,,,,,the older resident did not complain......but again, i admit that i have been saying the wrong thing
  2. i am a certified nurse assisstant at a nursing home, and everyday 3 cna,s are assigned rooms by the nurse. i have the same section, there are 3, and it has gotten easier because some of the resisdents don,t require much care. ..the last day i worked,, the nurse now has assigned me 14 resisents because its easier in my section, and the other 2 cna,s have 11.....i don,t think this is right, and am fairly angry about this because there are easy ones in the one, and few in the other.. the nurse did this partially because one of the cna,s have been complaining that i have the easier section...when i first started there about 1 yr ago, i had at one time 17, and the other 2 sections had 13, and its was a lot harder in mine..and no one complained then......i sort of hinted to the nurse a couple of times that i should not have had the one extra room and she took it away from me,,,,1 less resisdent, and she seemed irratated by it....i feel like going above my nurse to the director of nursing and complain.....what are your thoughts on this..thanks ron
