Hey samiam...When I applied for Fall 2011 ABSN at UF, I didn't get in and had to fill out the petition to get on the wait list. After doing so, I was put on the wait list. However, I never got a call that I was off the wait list. I think what happens is people are either accepted, put on the wait list, or denied with the option of filling out a petition to get on the waitlist. The first people to get off the waitlist will be the ones who were put there in the first place because they will be closer to the top of the list. I think it won't hurt to fill out a petition, but I would start thinking of other options as well. When I was in your position last summer, I made the decision that I would reapply so I started looking for jobs in Gainesville that would help me get into nursing school. I also spent the past year studying for the GRE so I could get a good score. Now I am in and I couldn't be happier! Just goes to show you that you can do anything you want to do as long as you are willing to put in the effort. Good luck to you!

Anyone think today will be the day?

Won't be checking my mail until the end of the day. It's interesting to me that some people who didn't get into the program got letters but the rest of us haven't gotten anything? I think I'm going to frame my envelope when it finally gets here.

Thanks so much for posting that info lily dove! I was wondering if it was something like that. I live in Gainesville and have not yet checked my mail but it's not looking good if no one else in Gainesville has gotten anything.

It sounds like people can get off the wait list up until May 1st.

I was so sure we were going to find out today. bummer Does anyone know why they can't just send out an email to everyone like the other programs do?
