  1. Hello and thanks for reading my email. I am currently working on entering the Nursing Program here in South Arkansas. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have some of my basics but I really need my sciences. I am currently taking A & P 1 and need chemistry to get into the nursing program next year at Southern Arkansas University. My question is whether I should attempt next year to get into the nursing program or finish up with A & P 2, Microbiology, Intro to Nutrition, and Chemisty by doing one per semester and then be ready to enter the nursing program in May of 06? Other than what experience I had with my first son 8 years ago, I haven't had any other nursing experience. I was wondering if I should try and find something in the nursing field (ex.CNA) or keep working at my job that pays a heck of alot better. Could a CNA job be something that I could do on the weekends when I don't have to work? Or could I do some type of volunteer? Sorry for all the questions just want to do the right thing. I know nursing school is going to be hard and that is one reason why I want to concentrate on the science classes first. Just would love some input from actually nurses who could help me!! Thanks for any help I truly appreciate it and will definitely use it. My first son died from AR Polycystic Kidney disease. My husband and I both did home dialysis and gave him his med's (about 13 a day) at different times a day, we gave him shots, took vitals, dropped tube for feeding, etc. This has been 8 years ago so I have alot to learn. Thanks for listening!!
