from the rcn information in liverpooljane's post, it sounds like nurse practitioners (as we know them in the u.s) are not recognized at the same level in the u.k. with orders being denied because they are "nurses" and not "doctors" and the pay being quite low, it sounds like it will be a very difficult transition. i am in the same situation, sailrmar9. i will be graduating as a new np in december 2011 and my fiance has a job offer in england. i am not sure how licensing would go for that. get licensed in the u.s. and then again in the u.k.? is there actually an np license to obtain? it is hard to decipher what is actually available currently because it is changing.
