  1. Hello all, Just thinking I'd write out my list of reasons for wanting to be a nurse and gauging people's reactions to that: I want to help people in my job. Nursing is a fairly stable career in Australia with a decent income. I like to feel a sense of purpose in my job and nursing will give me that. It will give me the freedom to move around when i switch job locations. That's about it really. Does anyone else feel the same, or even differently? Any new points?
  2. Hello everyone, I am a 19 year old Australian girl who has recently dropped out of a communication degree at university but this is just because I didn't see a job eventuating from the study. Nursing seems like it is more stable and likely to lead to a job. I have always been interested in science and counselling so I think this sort of path would be right for me. I now have financial issues due to the brief stint at another university doing communication. Is nursing worth it? I will give more information on my situation if needed. Thanks, Kat.
