Is there anyway you can do this clinical with the onsite students? I mean isn't it like a 3GS drive? I would drive it

Just by searching here on allnurses I have read about students dropping the program because they can not find a clinical site or preceptor.

Any one attending Ambria College of Nursing?
John tries to reel you in as would a car dealer; he is selling you an education. They will charge you for all they can. Books are not included and as someother schools allow you to use financial aid to purchase books Ambria no longer does.

Any one attending Ambria College of Nursing?
I attended Ambria (Americare Institute formerly) in the LPN program. The tuition for LPN-RN is something like 22000 which is just for the nursing program and not the prereqs. If you start in the LPN program the cost of that is 28000 then an additional 22000 for LPN to RN. The education there is quality and I liked most of my instructors. My biggest issue with this school was they were always changing things and giving you dates last minute. If you had a question in reguards to the program you had to ask a few different people to get an answer and it wasn't always the right answer. I had to call off work multiple times because they would change dates and times. So I would say to enter at your own risk. This will be my last resort as a LPN-RN program

Anyone attending Ambria College for the RN program?
I have just finsished my LPN program at Ambria forerly Americare Institute and this is the first semester of the LPN to RN program; so currently they have had no RN grads yet. In the LPN program I was very frustrated as they would change alot of things last minute or not schedule things until last minute. I felt that most of my classes there were quality classes with the exception of one where the teacher was very unfair and even stated she knew she was and didnt care if she was fired. We took this issue to the dean who did not do anything about the situation. I feel like the education I received there was quality, but the stucture of the program was not very organized. If I ever had a question I often received multiple answers. As an lpn-rn this would be my last resort as a program.

Indiana State University LPN-BSN Students from Illinois
I am looking for someone who is from Illinois as well. I like the idea of doing it online, but am afraid because of what I have been reading about finding a location/preceptor in Illinois. Let me know if you find out anything
