Thank so much for replying.. The accreditation issue is really bothering me.. but I guess I'm on the fence since all of my nursing friends have gone there and didn't have any issues finding a job..but the difference is most them had completed another degree elsewhere so continuing education wouldn't be a problem for them but would be for me.. Yeah I just need to do what I think is best even if it will take longer..The job market is so tough that I need to be as marketable as possible and an unaccredited program would be several strike against me off the bat..Thanks again you guys this really helped!!!

Hello to anyone bothering to read this thread.. I'm an all nurses stalker for about five years now and this is my second post. Unfortunately, my first thread never got any responses so if I get just one on this thread I would be so thankful. Anywho, I have a conundrum and it's a very common issue but for some reason I just can't make a decision. I started an ASN program a few years back and I have recently started the steps to re-enroll. However, my program is not accredited and has been placed on probation by the BON. I was already hesitatent to to sign back up in the first place but my family is pressuring to me just do it and get it over with since I only have a year left. Alternatively, I been thinking about just starting Erwins LPN program and then get an RN later on, after I finish my prerequisites ( I don't have any now) and then apply to an accredited program I'm having such a hard time making a decision, I really want to go back but I don't want to ruin my education with an unaccredited program and with family members pushing the issue I'm starting to think I'm making a big deal for no reason.. Should I just finish my unaccredited program or go the LPN route? Oh and if anyone is wondering why I would even think to go unaccredited it the same reasons as everyone else...kids, no wait list..etc plus I really love my current program...
