Scared to be "THAT agency nurse"
My experience has shown that it depends a lot on the particular agency you work for and their reputation at each facility. Some agencies seem to hire anybody, which makes it tougher for those of us who are qualified. I've found the agencies that require more of me up front before I get hired are the ones who have the good reputations in the facility and in the staffing department. Tough to be picky which agency you work for, but it does make a difference in how I am viewed when I'm on shift. Just my two cents.

Has anyone worked with Axis Medical Staffing?
Judah, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Because of my experience, I usually get anywhere from $32-$40/hr, which I think is great. How is the pay in Illinois?

Has anyone worked with Axis Medical Staffing?
As of now, just per diem work in Seattle.

Angency work..
The agencies that I have worked for that do offer insurance, offer benefits that are horrible and that you wouldn't want anyway. Personally, I'd rather have the pay since I know what I'm getting. Just my two cents.

Has anyone worked with Axis Medical Staffing?
Just wanted to give a quick update. I've now worked a couple shifts for Axis and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. For someone who has only had poor experiences with agency before, this was a nice change. No cancels, quick pay, accurate pay... I'm impressed. One quick question - what is normal for an agency to offer in regards to different types of bonuses for their nurses? They have some that I haven't heard of before. Any ideas?

Has anyone worked with Axis Medical Staffing?
Hi all! First time poster. I was wondering if anyone had worked with Axis Medical Staffing in Seattle before? I met with their recruiter yesterday and they seem really nice, but I was wondering if anyone had any more information about this agency. I have my first shift this week. Thanks for any input!
