Hi all, I am so nervous and excited to start the semester. Only a few days left. Trying to get some reading done. For those in Section 001, class 181 & 182 with Prof. Kelly are posted in WebCT. But 183 is not. Does any one know if it is on Moodle? I can not log in and am not sure if it is not posted or there is something wrong with my password.

FYI: The nursing department posted the Fall 2011 student handbook and course outlines.

BeckerG, When I went for my fitting the only thing they gave me on the spot was the jacket and my pin. They said that the actual uniform have not come in yet and that they will mail it out to me. I would double check that they gave you everything.

Hello all, Has anyone received their uniforms yet? I ordered mine in the begining of June and still have not received them.

ArisMommy, I ordered all of my books from Amazon. I did some searching online and prices did not vary too much, so I figured it would just be cheaper to get the free shipping than order books from different sites and pay seperate shipping charges. Earlier this summer I emailed the proffesors to confirm that we could use older editions but I never heard back. Angie at the nursing office said it was because most were on vacation and they will not get back to me until the Fall. I decided not to wait, but I did get the current editions, used when available. I will be using these books for 2+ years so I thought it was worth the cost. I also heard back from financial aid and they denied any assistance because I already have a Bachlors in another area. I don't understand why, that doesn't change the fact that I need to pay for this degree. I wouldn't be able to work full time with the course load and also take care of my daughter. I also ordered the uniforms 2 weeks ago but did not recieve them yet. Does anyone know if we were supposed to also order all the other stuff on the order form, shoes, bandage sissors, etc? Can't wait to meet everyone at the orientation. See you soon!

I have questions for the students who are already in the program. How many uniforms should we get? Do we the uniforms to the clinicals only or during class as well? Can we buy older versions of the books? Thanks!

I emailed the secretery few weeks ago. She said that it will all be updated in June.

Soul Healer, I entered my driver license in the field and it accepted it. Anyone taking the BLS course at Holy Name this Saturday? I got a confirmation after registering but never received an email confirmation. If you are, did you get the email? Do we have to bring any materials to the class, text etc.? I am going to call today to confirm.

Most are in early June so you have to do this soon. I am going to the 6/9 class in River Edge. Hope this helps.

Sadly, the class was cancelled, but such is life. I registed for another class from the AHA website in June.

Hello everyone, I am new to allnurses and have also been excepted to the nursing program for the fall. I am taking the 001 sections. I emailed Angie at the nursing office and she said that all the updated info (the student handbook, etc.) will be posted in June. I can't wait to order my books and get a head start in my reading. I still have to get CPR certified. BCC Continued Ed dept is offering a AHA BLS course online with a 3 hour practice and test onsite, after the online component. The last practice/test section for the summer is on June 8th (6 - 9 pm). I registered today, but the woman in the office said that if more people do not sign up they will cancel that session. So I was wondering if anyone else still has to get certified and if they want to take this section with me. Congrats to everyone! I can wait to meet you in the fall, or sooner. J.
