  1. I think i'll have to go with what you guys are saying! Appreciate the advice :)
  2. Very true. It's a waste of money and not a waste of money at the same time. I have to call the school to see if the money is refundable or not.
  3. Hello all! I would love to have some advice from all you aspiring grad students out there. I'm applying to 2 schools for the Adult NP program in Spring 2014. I was just accepted to school A which was my back up choice. School B is my first choice but since their application review is more extensive I won't hear from them until early Decemeber. The thing is School A needs a tuition deposit by November 11. I already called Enrollment Service at School A and they were not much help and didn't seem to care that I was waiting for another school's acceptance. So I need advice! What should I do? Send the check and wait for School B's acceptance (or denial)? (Then I would be losing 395$ if I get accepted to School B). BLAH! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

  5. hi! also applied for masters for spring. does anyone know how long the application review takes and when we'll know if we get in or not? thanks!
  6. missmo1984 can you tell me what the letters or recommendation require? trying to get a head start in the application process! thanks :)
  7. hi jerseygirl2010 are you planning on applying for the spring 2014? if so, please let me know!
  8. Yes! I'm interested as well yet not sure of the track I want to take. Are they frugal w/ scholarships? NYU is a pretty penny but I would love to go there. Also, did any of you attend an open house?
  9. They have admission criteria on their website. I've been wanting to hear from a student who's already enrolled in the program for their true opinion. Do you know anyone JerseyGirl2010?
  10. I know this post is old, but I am considering going back for my MSN. Now, like most people, I'm not sure if I should go the ACNP route or the Adult NP route. If I were to go back to school for my ACNP and get my degree, but down the road change my mind and decide I wanted to to primary care... would the training I received be sufficient in a primary care setting? Any advice?? Thanks :)
  11. Hello all! Just wondering if anyone had any information regarding NYU master's program? I'm looking at options for going back to school and NYU is one of my top choices. I live in Jersey and just a short commute away from the city. I would like to hear if anyone has actually gone through the program and if they liked it. Obviously, the program is a pretty penny so I want to explore this option thoroughly. Any advice is appreciated Thanks!
  12. hah i'm with you. steam was blowing out of my ears.
  13. thanks @juandelacruz! I had a pt the other day who responded to verbal stimuli and was following simple commands but my intesivist still wanted to chill her (which it clearly states in our protocol that it is an exclusion). I was very aggravated with the situation and wanted to hear other nurses experiences.
  14. what are the exclusions? Would like to know from hospital to hospital. Thanks
  15. @erwindt do you have any advice?? i can probably throw up thinking about taking the exam right now. i have watched laura g and have done pass ccrn questions ranging anywhere between 110-120/150. any advice will help!!
