  1. I added you and messaged you
  2. D_Taylor We did use all the books in transitions. Patho was great but I guess it was because of the teacher. I apologize for taking so long to reply between patho 2 and the projects for health I've been really busy
  3. My first session was good. Getting use to the NCLEX style questions was my main priority.I'm in my second session of my first semester and I just ordered my scrubs. I think I'm more excited to be starting fundamentals more than anything. Everything is happening so fast but I love it.
  4. I don't remember my score on each part but I had an 88 overall average. As long as you make an 80 on all parts you should be ok.
  5. It's nice but this is only my first 8 weeks. They have a lot of people to help you along the way. I am in your situation I'm supposed to graduate in a little over 2 years but I'm trying to do it in a year and six months. How did you do on you Hesi?
  6. Wow I heard those three together are a killer
  7. I see that now lol. For my next 8 weeks i'm trying to take patho 2, heath & wellness, and cultural diversity. Does anyone attending Chamberlain think this is to much? My advisor said she doesn't think I should take those together.
  8. I'm taking Transitions in Nursing, Critical Thinking, and Pathophysiology
  9. So I just got back from orientation and it was quite long. It was VERY interesting. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. It got me ready to start school tomorrow. There were a lot of speakers and a lot of information (four hours worth). I hardly remember everything but I'm just so excited. The main thing I've gathered is that nursing school is not your typical learning process. Throughout prerequisites I basically memorized everything I needed to know then forgot everything so I need to pick up new study habits. All in all it was great I'm excited and I'm just ready to start.
  10. They have a payment plan which isn't bad. I understand impatience isn't a good reason to jump in a for profit school. Even though they are for profit they are a really good school. I'm a very logical person I completely understand the consequences of my actions but I also feel like this is where I'm supposed to be. I've prayed on my decision and God wouldn't take me through more than I can handle. I'm just happy to have been accepted.
  11. They have other start dates I'm just really frustrated and tired of waiting.
  12. I've tried regular colleges I've been waitlisted and denied this is the only one I got accepted in. I'm just taking what I can
  13. @HeatherMax I just need the loan to get me through the first semester which starts in a couple weeks. I plan on applying but I dont have enough time being that classes start in a couple weeks
  14. @missnurse01 Chamberlain College of Nursing
  15. I hope you all had success with your loans because I am now in the same situation.
  16. This is more like a vent. I got accepted into nursing school but I'm $5000 short. I already have fed loans but it just wasn't enough. I'm not against private loans I'm just not able to get one. I don't have any credit and my mom has bad credit and student loans that she still owes. I feel like this is my only chance so I just have to do what I have to do.
  17. The first school I tried attending didn't work out. I haven't seen much information on this particular school so I decided to track my journey. I applied last week and got the call for acceptance yesterday. In all honesty this was my last option to be in an accredited nursing school. I had been denied five times from three different school but thanks to God, hard work, and determination I am one step closer to my dream. I don't have the best GPA and I made an 81 on the hesi. I start May 6 I'm nervous and excited. I'll keep future students posted on my journey.
  18. I've recently been accepted into nursing school (Yay Me)!!! Im confused on which class I should register for. There is a six hour class but it has three teachers, and a two hour class with one teacher. Which class would be better? Will I learn more with three teachers? Ex Monday 8:30a.m-3:00p.m (three teachers). Tuesday 8:00a.m-10:50a.m(one teacher).
