Thanks all! I will check out the above sites. I have looked at craigslist but not the others. Plus, I believe I have a possible offer : )

Hi all, I am still looking for a job as a new grad NP. I really want plastics or dermatology and live in the southeast. I have tried recruiters, job boards, everything it seems! Anyone have any leads? I have encountered most places that want 1-2 years of derm experience...well how the heck am I supposed to get that if no one will hire me as a new grad? I have offered one place a training salary of 40-50k per year even and still got nothing. I hate to go into ortho or some other specialty and really waste a year or more learning that when it is not what I really want in the long-term. There are some places hiring but I cannot move there. Any advice??
  3. Thanks for the input!!! Yes, I did ask about sales like you said, it isn't really my ideal place to be a 'sales person' here. They do have an initial visit with a sales consultant and then once they discuss price, etc and THEN they see the NP/PA for medical clearance (or not). I would hope this makes it easier in a lot of ways. Thank you again for your help!!
  4. That's 40 dollars and hour. Oops.
  5. This company is strictly laser hair, medical clearance for laser hair, follow-up, and writing prescriptions for emla cream, some abx, etc. They pay 40 plus an hour for part-time. Mostly PAs and some NPs there needed for medical clearance per state Medical Board rules, no director/MD on site. I am afraid it may be boring.
  6. I am considering a position with a major laser hair removal company. Just wondering if there are any NPs on this forum who perform laser hair removal? How do you like your job? What kind of hourly rate do you make? Are there any major issues with the Medical Director? Thanks for any input you may have!!!
