  1. Thank you both. I do realize that it depends on the school. Mine is in Ohio and I am aware of schools who's grads can test within a week or two while our grads have to wait an average of 2.5 months. Looking for comparisons before I start inquiring as to why .
  2. Can anyone share with me how long it took/takes after graduationfor your nursing school to have the information submitted in order for you to take the NCLEX?Thank you,TF
  3. Is a "Risk for..." ever used as a priority nursing diagnosis ? I remember being instructed that it is not, but cannot find anything to substantiate it. thank you.
  4. EricJRN.. Thank you for your words. I have done a great deal of research and am finding courage here.
  5. Thank you Butterfly... You have brought tears to my eyes. :)
  6. Diva .. could you please leave me be? This is important to me... And I wish you could just pass on anything to do with me here. Please.
  7. Ummm same poster .... Different question. Is that not allowed?
  8. Leslie.. Your wikipedia link and the other link posted by someone else. Both stress to look for heat or temp. change. I did not ask for vast amounts of your energy to be wasted on this. You answered your opinion, I appreciate it. Thank you.
  9. Diva... Do I quit when you think I should? Many people in history have made changes when divas told them to quit before they broke a nail :) Thanks for your insight !
  10. Leslie...telling someone they are mediocre for asking a question...calling them honey and telling them to get on with their life or get over it isn't all that nice especially when this thread simply asked a question. Even the page you provided said "heat." I have been gracious and read all opinions respectfully. I appreciate them all. If you have an instant dislike for me...please ignore my posts. I will share that I contacted accreditation associations who were interested in what I had to say. I was hoping to be even more researched in future dealings with them by using the vast resource of this forum... Not start a bashing poor tunafish thread :)'
  11. Why is research and asking "beating a dead horse" ? I have spent two days asking questions on this forum. Am I not permitted to look deeper ? Positive change is brought about by people not afraid to look deeper. As I nurse, I would do nothing different. Thank you for your response as well.
  12. Nurse Educate.. I appreciate your reply. It is actually people at your level that I was hoping to approach on the other thread. To bring up grades and calling me a mediocre student on this thread seemed " non-sweet" thus the comment. Though I wish I could comment to you on the other thread, I will do so here. I and other students signed a page of the syllabus that was required of us. The professor in this class refuses to use the online system to post grades, so students are T the merc of keeping tally of their own percentages... Not a hard thing to do. But when the syllabus states in bold that a 78% is needed to pass the course, and you are held to that standard for two months of a grievance process to find out two months in that students were passed well below that point, of course it makes you wonder. I state all of this very respectfully. I am being held to a standard, where a professor who needed to fill another semester and had a high percentage of non-passing students is not. I also only asked this one question because it was one of a few examples from a final question where discussion was not available. When a few questions that determine a passing grade are as controversial as this, then perhaps further examination into all aspects of this course is warranted. I brought other students into my argument because they sat in the same spot as I. ... Watching other students passing on that achieved the same level. It is not an ideal situation for the future of nursing, I can assure you. However, if I was to share the name of the professor with you, you will find research supporting that I am not the first. I just happen to be a more mature student, who is not afraid to look into things. Again, I thank you for your insight here.
  13. Oh xtrn! Not directed at you at all! A previous poster named "wooh" commented on my poor academics and mediocre status as a student... I was just hoping they had run out of sweetener for their coffee... I am so very grateful for your posts :)
  14. Wooh.. What is it about my post in asking a simple question would bring you to basically feel the need to examine me a person ? If you wish to private message me and tell me how poorly you feel of me, then please feel free. I promise you that I will heed your advice and hide under a rock :)
